So often, women in their 40s and 50s are made to feel like they are on the "back half" of their careers. Less relevant. Less in demand. Less adaptable.

We could not disagree with this more. From where we sit, this is their best phase.

This is when life experience, emotional intelligence, commercial instinct and confidence all come together. When you have navigated families alongside careers, grown through change and pressure, or possibly even reinvented yourself.

This is when you become able to read a room and anticipate what is needed, not just with skills but with knowledge.

In a recent conversation with a contact exploring work with The Y Principle, Yvette found herself saying: "Women in their 40s and 50s have the lived experience to be exceptional at anything they do."

That line was highlighted in the summary of the recorded meeting notes, and it stopped her in her tracks. We truly believe this. This stage of life is not about winding down. It is about finally owning your value.
